Who would have imagined just a few years back that booking a cab could be this easy in cities like Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Purnea, and similar rural areas affected by floods, earthquakes, and other natural disasters. Dilkhush Kumar from the village of Bangaon Saharsa in Bihar, India, pioneered the cab booking platform "AryaGo," a groundbreaking innovation dedicated entirely to rural road transport connectivity. AryaGo is a service provided by AryaGo Transpotech India Pvt Ltd, a startup founded in 2016 under the Startup Bihar initiative, a seed capital support scheme by the State Government. The vision was to offer comfort, convenience, safety, and affordability to all travelers coming to or from remote villages.

One of the largest challenges faced during implementation in villages was obtaining updated geo-mapped images for app development and vehicle tracking. AryaGo was among the first to introduce kiosk-based booking facilities for customers based on customer profiling and their preferred booking methods. Initially, when customers booked through IVR, they lacked access to app-based customer panels and specific services like location tracking and real-time vehicle tracking. However, with significant investments in IT infrastructure, the company now boasts an experienced and professional IT team. In collaboration with this team, AryaGo Cab developed a user-friendly mobile app. Today, AryaGo Cab is rapidly expanding its presence in both rural and urban markets of Bihar.

The opportunity provided individual taxi owners to operate under the well-recognized AryaGo brand umbrella was indeed beneficial. By leveraging the branding done by the taxi aggregator, individual drivers gained heightened awareness and recognition within their districts. The company secured a strong presence in local newspapers while being budget-conscious about television advertising but active on radio to target the desired customer base. Besides radio ads, the company utilized its website as a tool for spreading awareness and actively engaged with its audience on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The company garnered 5500 followers on Twitter on its launch day and has since reached over 12,000 followers on Facebook. A team of social media experts managed the media communication campaigns unveiling new promotions regularly; one standout campaign being the complimentary ride initiative for family members of martyrs which resonated well on social media.

AryaGo segmented its customers into two categories based on the method of booking – one group using offline sources such as call centers and business correspondents facilitated by IVR services; while others booked using online interfaces such as the website or mobile app due to differing processing times for each channel. Online bookings generated a unique system ID that stored personal details like name, age, address, vehicle preferences along with customer history enabling personalized promotional schemes based on usage patterns. Alternatively, bookings made through offline channels were managed through call centers transferring details to available cabs en-route; retaining limited customer information unless booked directly from their personal mobile number.
